From the recording With The Stars In Your Eyes

I originally recorded the Stevie Ray Vaughan-style guitar in 2009. It kind of sat there, begging me to do something with it. Almost ten years later, after binge watching the first two series of The Expanse - three times - I finally found a theme: Detective Miller, one of my all time favourite TV characters.
It is deceptively difficult to sing and I had to record the vocals three times before I was happy enough. I still need a lot of practice before I would be willing to sing it live, and I will probably rerecord this track again once I feel more comfortable with it.
UPDATE: I finally re-recorded the vocals - whilst dealing with pneumonia caused by this crap virus - however it came out good enough to keep. The new version is much nicer to listen to, not as harsh sounding as before.

In Your Graces (The Ballad Of Detective Miller, part II)

It’s not where I want to go,
but where I want to be
And where I want to be is in your graces

Put my boots upon the highway,
knock on every door
Searching for your trace amongst the faces

I’ve been doing everything I can do
Moving closer, ever closer to you, and

In your graces, In your graces
In your graces, In your graces

Lost in drifting thoughts,
like a desert full of dreams
Walking down that road to revelation

The pieces fit together,
Now the pictures very/crystal clear
All I need is you, to fill the spaces

I’ve been doing everything I can do
Moving closer, ever closer to you, and

In your graces, In your graces
In your graces, In your graces
