Well, this one's quite a bit longer than the rest.
Try and stay with the song until the end - you won't be disappointed. I will upload each in full separately.

Actually, it's two pieces:
1. "So Happy"
This has got a kind of Foo Fighters sound to it. The vocals have a real Curt Cobain edge to them; although I wasn't intending to sing like him, they just came out that way, and I liked it. I recorded them in about 20 minutes in the bathroom one Saturday morning. In fact, the whole recording came together really quickly, even the string section - which I recorded each instrument separately - was mostly improvised on the spot.

2. "Breathe"
"Breathe" was actually constructed using bits from "So Happy". Even the chanting vocals are the chorus harmonies from "So Happy", but played in reverse. This is a great discipline for a composer; the task of writing and arranging using only a minute of each instrument makes you really concentrate on what's important, and you have to be pretty creative to make something interesting. I actually ended up liking the instrumental more than the song I took it from.

What's it about? Well, it's about living and loving a psychopath and how they tend to turn on you quite violently, at least once. It's also about the way you both pretend that everything's normal, both to yourselves and others, even though you fought each other with knives in the kitchen the night before, while the kid was asleep.

It's not a song you put on at a party.
