From the recording Eons Away
This (along with part I) are taken from a larger piece of music that runs at around 20 minutes. It's not finished, but this bit is.
For part II, I decided I wanted some music about an astronaut going crazy; lost and alone in space, the astronaut begins to sing - then I just jumped on my guitar and played and sang and what was done, was done.
This moment was also my debut as a vocalist. I've recorded the vocals again and again, always technically way better, but I've never managed to get the same feel, so I kept the originals.
Lyrics
Eons away, eons away, eons away
floating in space
Eons away, eons away, eons away
tumbling with grace
Sometimes it feels like a million years
at the speed of light from home
Eons away, eons away, eons away
gone without trace
Eons away, eons away, eons away
my high-tech ballet
Sometimes it feels we're a million years
at the speed of light from home
