From the recording Eons Away
Acoustic Guitar and bass recorded during an awesome rock jam at Con's house. I improvised the guitar between jams that night. The next morning I recorded the bass and then took it home and made a song out of it. There's actually a second version of this song with different lyrics, but as with so many of my songs, I went back to the original recordings and idea.
This is about all the spying on normal people that 3-letter agencies and Internet corporations and advertisers are now doing.
Lyrics
Did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
Did you see all the things you needed to see under my umbrella?
Have you heard all the words that have ever occurred?
You're a cheat, you're a sneak - did you get in and peek?
Oh, did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
Did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
Help yourself to whatever you need from my kitchen cupboard
Have you heard all the words that have ever occurred?
You're a cheat, you're a sneak - Did you get what you seek?
Oh, did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
Well, all I ever wanted was somebody to please
All I ever wanted was somebody for me
All I ever wanted was somebody to know
All I ever wanted was somebody to show my inside
Did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
Did you find everything that you need to reveal?
And does it mean my days are numbered?
Have you heard all the words that have ever occurred?
You're a cheat, you're a sneak - Did you get a receipt?
Oh, did you find all the things you need to blow my cover?
